She & Him - Somebody sweet to talk to

Bueno, pues tras casi un mes de escucha del esperado Volume 3 (filtrado, por cierto, una semana antes de su publicación, ya se puede ir vislumbrando los temazos del disco.

Está claro que el single es una de las mejores del nuevo LP del duo She & Him pero no hay que pasar por alto este tema que huele a próximo single. Somebody sweet to talk to, es la sexta canción del 4 disco de los nortemaricanos que bueno, tampoco hace falta enrollarme hablando de Zooey y el señor M Ward  conocidos por todos.

Nos falta saber si volverán por España a presentar su nuevo disco, esperemos que sí...

Liz Longley - When you've got trouble

Día festivo en Madrid (y lluvioso) y hoy traigo una de esas chicas pegadas a guitarra que tanto me gustan para los días tranquilos. Desde Philadelphia nos llega Liz Longley una joven bastante inquieta que ya tiene a sus espaldas tres trabajos y otro en camino.

Debutó en 2009 con Somewhere In the Middle y un año después sacaba Hot Loose Wire posiblemente su mejor trabajo y de donde es este tema. Inside this song (2011) fue el tercer trabajo de la estadounidense, un EP de cinco temas que se hace un poco corto. Por suerte, parece que va casi a trabajo por año asi que en este 2013 lanzará su cuarto disco del que aún no sabemos el título pero sí su primer single This Is Not the End.

Os dejo con When you've got trouble. El corte pertenece a su segundo LP aunque os traigo una versión que grabó en los estudios de radio SiriusXM americana para Spotify.

Lady Antebellum - All for love

La verdad es que menuda sorpresa tan agradable ha sido el nuevo disco de los americanos Lady Antebellum que esta semana publicaban su quinto album Golden, si bien llevaba ya un par de semanas filtrado.

Merece la pena escuchar un par de veces el nuevo disco del trio de Nashville, unos veteranos ya en esto sobretodo tras el exitazo de Need you know (2010) su penúltimo disco. Veremos si con Golden recuperar un poco el crédito perdido tras Own the night (2011).

Bueno, un poco pop este All for love, tema perfecto para el domingo y disco muy recomendado. Feliz domingo!

Schuyler Fisk - What good is love

Festivo en Madrid y aprovecho para actualizar el (cada vez más) abandonado blog. Esta vez toca disfrutar de una bonita voz como la americana Schuyler Fisk. Habría que dedicarla más de una entrada como la de hoy a sus trabajos, dos albumes y cuatro EP's desde que en 2006 publicará Songs of now, su primer EP.

Muy buena este tema What good is love perteneciente a Blue Ribbon Winner (2011), su último disco en solitario. El pasado año debutaba con su nuevo grupo FM Radio con un album titulado Out of the blue, del que ya os pondré algo.
